Innovative Technologies for an Engaging Classroom (iTEC) is the largest pan-European test of learning and teaching scenarios using ICT. With funding of 9.5 million from the European Commission’s FP7 programme, iTEC will investigate how established and emerging technologies can be used effectively in classrooms in the next five to ten years.

Futurelab is acting as one of the key partners in the project. Our role will be to work with other countries to develop scenarios to inspire innovative practices using technology in classrooms. We will also be carrying out research in 1,000 classrooms in 12 EU countries to establish teachers' and students' attitudes to technology and how these may change through the process of this intervention.
