Creativity in European Schools
Creativity in European Schools
Supported by the European Commission’s Institute of Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS, Seville) the project aims to analyse the role and relevance of creativity and innovation in education in EU member states.
The project will provide a detailed analysis of how educational stakeholders understand and conceive creative learning and innovative teaching, and to present examples of good practice within the wider context of educational policy and institutional innovation. Building on an understanding that creativity and innovation must go far beyond the arts in education, considerations of creativity and innovation must encompass, discourses around social critique, justice, citizenship, technology and economic regeneration as well as play and everyday cultural practices.
The main research questions being addressed:
- What is the level of creative learning and innovative teaching taking place in schools, according to educational stakeholders?
- What are the links between educational policies on creativity and innovation and the educational practices according to educational stakeholders?
- What are the good practices of creative learning and innovative teaching in Europe?
